A Night of Connection, Culture, and Celebration
The ISF team attended the 4th edition of the International Meet Up Friesland on the 13th of November. An evening dedicated to fostering community, cultural exchange, and meaningful connections among internationals and locals. Held at the vibrant Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie, the event once again showcased the spirit of welcome and inclusiveness that Friesland is known for.
With approximately 200 attendees this year’s gathering continued the tradition of bringing people together, offering the perfect opportunity to meet new people, share stories, and enjoy a warm, engaging atmosphere. The theme of the night, “Language, no problem!”, celebrated Friesland’s rich linguistic heritage and the power of communication across cultures.
One of the highlights of the evening was hearing from ISF’s Head of School, Anke Schumacher, who took the stage as one of the event speakers.
During her speech, Anke announced and introduced the opening of the first International School in Friesland, sharing the school’s mission, vision, and the curriculum with the international community.
